Concord waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 74-61 victory over the Lake Norman Charter Knights. The score was all tied up 32-32 at the break, but the Spiders were the better team in the second half.

Despite the loss, Lake Norman Charter still got an impressive performance from Major Leak, who posted 24 points. Leak has become a key player for Lake Norman Charter: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 5-13 otherwise. Collin McConneyhead was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Concord's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Lake Norman Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Coming up, Concord and Northwest Cabarrus will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. One thing working in Northwest Cabarrus' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. Lake Norman Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
