The Pioneer Mustangs will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Branham Bruins at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Pioneer kept a clean sheet against Piedmont Hills. They had just enough and edged the Pirates out 1-0. Chloe Crogan had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Pioneer.
Meanwhile, Branham can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Ann Sobrato as Branham made off with a 4-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Branham as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Pioneer has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. As for Branham, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
Pioneer came out on top in a nail-biter against Branham in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 1-0. Does Pioneer have another victory up their sleeve, or will Branham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
