The Windsor Jaguars waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They snuck past Rancho Cotate with a 44-40 win. For Windsor, this counts as revenge for the 46-36 loss Rancho Cotate walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reese Hackamack, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals. Hackamack hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Xenia Zabaneh, who scored 14 points.
Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Rancho Cotate, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will face off against Piner at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rancho Cotate, they will head out on the road to take on Healdsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Healdsburg will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
