In what's become a running theme this season, the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Marin Academy 63-35 at home. The victory was nothing new for Lick-Wilmerding as they're now sitting on four straight.
Lick-Wilmerding found their leader in underclassman Lauryn Lacap, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 33 steals. Lacap is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Moy, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lick-Wilmerding is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Marin Academy, they bumped their record down to 10-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Lick-Wilmerding will be playing at home against San Domenico at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marin Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Credo at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Credo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1079th, while Marin Academy is ranked 439th).
