Pius X came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Grand Island Islanders with a sharp 9-1 victory on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 last Thursday.

Jordan Huber was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Brooklyn Scheef was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Pius X's record is now 3-8. As for Grand Island, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
