Kelseyville is 8-2 against St. Helena since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Kelseyville made easy work of Middletown and carried off a 14-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.
Carson White was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kyle Watkins was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Max Hommer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Kelseyville lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Helena got the win against Cloverdale on Friday by a conclusive 9-3.
Like Kelseyville, St. Helena also got a great game from a two-way player: Huck Anderson. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Anderson has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Sam Beck was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Charlie Blaum also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
St. Helena's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Kelseyville, their record is now 14-3.
St. Helena's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kelseyville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. It's a different story for St. Helena, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Kelseyville's hitters?
Kelseyville beat St. Helena 4-0 when the teams last played on April 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
