The Marlette Red Raiders's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past Vassar with a 54-48 victory. For Marlette, this counts as revenge for the 39-34 defeat Vassar walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Long scored a full 35.4% of Vassar's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Marlette back to even at 1-1. As for Vassar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
