It was another big night for Hope Haring, who scored 26 points along with five assists and five steals. Haring is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Emmie Smith was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Several Greyhounds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hailey Johnson, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Johnson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Eden Christian Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Monessen, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
Eden Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against West Greene at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Monessen won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mapletown at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. Mapletown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 628th, while Monessen is ranked 298th).
