St. Francis entered their tilt with Serena on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Huskers. Considering the Spartans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Francis' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Serena, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will venture away from home to take on Naperville North at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Serena, they will head out to face off against Newark at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
