The Paloma Valley Wildcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Palm Springs with a sharp 50-24 victory on Wednesday. With Paloma Valley ahead 32-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Ashlee Medrano was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven steals. The game was her 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gina Misiaita, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Palm Springs still got an impressive performance from Eiresslee Wells, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Bote, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Paloma Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Palm Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
