The Ontario Christian Knights will be playing at home against the Centennial Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Ontario Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 20 matchups.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ontario Christian had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took down the Knights 73-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ontario Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amanda Ajobiewe, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ajobiewe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleena Smith, who scored 31 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Centennial unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by Etiwanda 90-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Centennial has scored all season.
Ontario Christian pushed their record up to 26-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 93.5 points per game. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-11.
