The Pine-Richland Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They lost to Armstrong on the road by a decisive 48-29 margin. Pine-Richland lost against Armstrong in their previous head to head back in February of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-45 score last time.
Despite the loss, Pine-Richland still got an impressive performance from Madison Zavasky, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Zavasky's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Maren Iski, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Pine-Richland's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Armstrong, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Pine-Richland will look to defend their home court on Monday against Avonworth at 7:30 p.m. As for Armstrong, they will head out on the road to face off against Chartiers Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
