Monessen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was MyAsia Majors out in front who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. Sidney Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Brashear struggled to work together and finished the game with only a assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Monessen racked up 12.
Monessen's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Brashear, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Monessen will face off against Charleroi at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brashear, they will take on Derry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
