Decatur will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Snow Hill extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Eagles never let Washington get on the board and left with a 35-0 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 29-point advantage.

It was another big night for Dai'Jon Johnson, who rushed for 207 yards and two scores while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.8 rushing yards per game. Mekhi Waters was in the mix as well, providing Snow Hill with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Snow Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 452 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Decatur earned a 38-30 victory over Queen Anne's County on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.
Decatur's win came from a few key players Snow Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Johnny Hobgood, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. What's more, he racked up 137.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another back making a difference was Kyle Mumford, who gained 192 total yards and a touchdown.

Snow Hill's record now sits at 3-1. As for Decatur, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Snow Hill has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 309.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Decatur struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 197.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Snow Hill took a serious blow against Decatur when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 56-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
