The Cordova Lancers will challenge the Antelope Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cordova has six straight victories, Antelope has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cordova's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Grant as they made off with a 12-0 win. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Nathan Tran and Nate Jones were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Tran pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jones struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Tran went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Jones got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Cordova is undefeated when Jones posts two or more runs, but 0-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, Cordova let Gabriel Bargas and Bro Ahlstrom run wild. Bargas went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base, while Ahlstrom went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most runs Bargas has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Meade, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Cordova was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Antelope suffered their biggest defeat since February 23rd on Friday. They lost 11-1 to West Park.
Antelope saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DeMarkus Thornton, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Thornton has hit this season.
Cordova's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cordova has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Antelope struggles in that department as they've averaged .521. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
