Meanwhile, Jay posted their closest win since March 3rd on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Chipley 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.
Cadee Carroll was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carroll was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other pitching news, Jay got a great performance from Ella Samford as she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits.
Back at the plate, Kaylee Gilbreath was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Mylee Frazier was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Everything went Northview's way against Jay in their previous meeting last Thursday, as Northview made off with a 7-0 win. Do the Chiefs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
