Mt. Vernon was led to victory by Melaina Zedalis and Tiara Johnson. Zedalis scored 16 points, while Johnson scored 21 points. The match was Zedalis' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Arwyn Wilkie was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Cahokia has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
