The Burbank Titans had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 20-16 win over McClatchy on Friday. The win was just what Burbank needed coming off of a 64-6 loss in their prior matchup.
McClatchy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zayvion Barnes, who rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, and Samuel Hernandez-Hartman who rushed for 106 yards. Hernandez-Hartman's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards.
Burbank's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for McClatchy, their loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burbank will take on Kennedy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for McClatchy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bella Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bella Vista is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
