Basketball Recap: Southern Lab Drops Highest Score of Season Against Central Private

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Lab). They blew past the Central Private Redhawks 98-8 on Saturday. The Kittens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Shaila Forman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 37 points and ten steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Southern Lab's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asia Patin, who posted 22 points.

Southern Lab was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The win (which was Southern Lab's fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Central Private, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Southern Lab will head out on the road to take on John Curtis Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Private, they will welcome North Iberville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
