The Aberdeen Bulldogs will be home for the holidays to greet the West Point Green Wave at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Aberdeen is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-25, which was the final score in Aberdeen's tilt against West Lauderdale on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Aberdeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while West Lauderdale is ranked 35th).
Meanwhile, West Point lost to Kosciusko at home by a decisive 50-32 margin on Saturday. West Point has not had much luck with Kosciusko recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Aberdeen bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for West Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Aberdeen took a serious blow against West Point in their previous meeting back in February, falling 100-47. Can Aberdeen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
