Jurupa Hills has gone 6-1 against Colton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will challenge the Yellowjackets at 3:45 p.m. Jurupa Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Jurupa Hills made easy work of Carter and carried off a 14-2 win. The Spartans have beaten the Lions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.
Aaden Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Lopez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Alejandro Preciado was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Eduardo Gomez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Colton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.83 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 11-3 to Eisenhower. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Yellowjackets have suffered since April 2nd.
Colton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Ruiz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Colton's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Jurupa Hills, their record now sits at 19-5.
Colton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jurupa Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .392. It's a different story for Colton, though, as they've only averaged .228. Will they be able to contain Jurupa Hills' hitters?
Everything went Jurupa Hills' way against Colton when the teams last played back in April, as Jurupa Hills made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
