Nuview Bridge is a perfect 5-0 against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will challenge the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Nuview Bridge barely beat San Jacinto Leadership Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Lions 15-1 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won five games in a row.

Carson Lagor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Nuview Bridge is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-6 otherwise. Lagor was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Nuview Bridge let Joshy Rodriguez and Christian Flores run wild. Rodriguez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Flores went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Rodriguez a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Ethan Rivera, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Nuview Bridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School hadn't done well against Desert Christian Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Conquerors with a sharp 21-4 victory. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brandon Morinaga made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bodhi Duenas, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Luke Ludwig was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
The win made it two in a row for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Nuview Bridge, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Nuview Bridge took their victory against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
