Lennox Academy extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 8-5. They fell 8-3 to the Environmental Charter White Tigers. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 11-3 to the White Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Lennox Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Zebedee Haro was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Environmental Charter, they pushed their record up to 6-4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs.
On Environmental Charter's side, Jonathan Pineda made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Pineda has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christian Salazar, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Freddy Pedroza, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Lennox Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 defeat against Dominguez on the 11th. As for Environmental Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-7 victory against Animo Leadership on the 16th.
