The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Mission Vista by a score of 39-31. This was payback for Canyon Crest Academy, who suffered a 51-17 loss the last time these two teams met.
Canyon Crest Academy can attribute much of their success to Caroline Dysart, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Colon, who scored eight points.
Canyon Crest Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Mission Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Canyon Crest Academy will head out on the road to face off against Escondido Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Escondido Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. Mission Vista won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Morse at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Morse presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mission Vista in California (Morse is ranked 181st, while Mission Vista is ranked 973rd).
