The Jesuit Marauders will square off against the Rocklin Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jesuit is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Pitman a 9-0 shutout. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.
Sammy Kane made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jesuit is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-11 otherwise. Kane was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Rocklin also got a great performance from Andrew Hancock as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Hancock has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Rocklin, the win got them back to even at 14-14-1.
