Bishop put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Lincoln Hornets 9-2. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Hugo Avila-Marquez was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Clyde Kates, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Bishop's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted an OBP of .348.

Bishop's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Bishop's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Mission Bay on the 8th. As for Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-6 loss against High Tech CV on the 5th.
