Football Recap: Michael Owens and Jake Dolan Lead the Defense for Cohasset Win

Mashpee came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Cohasset, but Gus Greene wouldn't allow it. The Skippers took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 33-0 win over the Falcons thanks in part to Greene, who rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.

Cohasset didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Owens and Jake Dolan.

The victory made it two in a row for Cohasset and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 24 points in those games. As for Mashpee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Cohasset and Hull will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 27. The Skippers are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mashpee, they will challenge Sandwich at 10:00 a.m. on November 27. The Blue Knights' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
