Garey is 8-2 against Ganesha since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Garey Vikings will be playing at home against the Ganesha Giants at 4:45 p.m. Garey will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Garey didn't have too much trouble with Edgewood at home as they won 50-31.
Armani Owens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Owens is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Alyssa Herrera was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Ganesha suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. Their rough 58-33 defeat to Edgewood might stick with them for a while. Ganesha has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Garey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Ganesha, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Garey against Ganesha in their previous matchup two weeks ago as the team secured a 78-43 win. Will Garey repeat their success, or does Ganesha have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
