Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nipomo). They came out on top against the East Bakersfield Blades by a score of 44-34 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, East Bakersfield had strong showings from Samantha Vasquez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, and Sophia Sital, who posted 12 points. That's the most points Vasquez has posted since back in January.

Nipomo's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for East Bakersfield, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Nipomo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-34 defeat against Santa Ynez on the 10th. As for East Bakersfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-36 victory against Stockdale on the 10th.
