The Delphi Community Oracles waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 54-19 win over Eastern at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Delphi Community has posted yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delphi Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenna Roth, who scored 12 points along with seven steals. Roth is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddy Brown, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Eastern struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Delphi Community racked up 14 assists.
Delphi Community has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Eastern, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-12.
Delphi Community will square off against Sheridan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sheridan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Eastern, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Carroll at 7:30 p.m. Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eastern in Indiana (Carroll is ranked 45th, while Eastern is ranked 315th).
