Adding to the longest winning streak in Lake this week, Minnetonka beat Hopkins 35-0,. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Skippers.
Minnetonka took down the Royals 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nick Rooney threw for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win.
Dave Nelson's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Jason Witherspoon chipped in 53 yards. Mitch Felknor helped Minnetonka's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 71 yards.

Troy Peterson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Edina fell to Eden Prairie. He completed 16 passes for 197 yards and also ran for 32 yards. Peterson's favorite target this week was Ben Boone, who caught 7 passes for 98 yards.
Witherspoon was the most successful running back in the league this week.

The Skippers' Rooney and Felknor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Lake in both passing and receiving yards. Rooney has thrown for 1,208 yards this season, while Felknor, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 31 catches for 539 yards. Anthony Anderson from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 379 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Minnetonka's Felknor goes up against the Hornets' Kyle Fowlkes.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Skippers and Edina face off next week.
Next week's game between Minnetonka and Reed Boltmann's team will feature a good passing match up as Rooney will test his arm against Fowlkes' defensive ability.
As it stands, the Hornets are in fourth, while the Skippers are in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Edina and Minnetonka face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Hornets comes in having scored 113 this season, while the Skippers have scored 175. Edina scored 20 points last week as it fell to Eden Prairie.
Minnetonka made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 299 from 406. The improvement was the result of 35-0 victory over the Royals last week.
