Mercer County never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mendota on Saturday. They blew past the Trojans 14-1. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Elsie Cook made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
