Make it ten blowout wins for the Aquinas Falcons this season. They blew past Pacifica Christian/Orange County 59-39. Winning may never get old, but Aquinas sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Aquinas' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madeleine De Kodia, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals. De Kodia hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Madeleine Barker, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Pacifica Christian/Orange County, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 18-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ontario Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Ontario Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests. As for Pacifica Christian/Orange County, they will head out on the road to challenge Orangewood Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orangewood Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
