The Roseland University Prep Knights  were the  45-39 winner over the Piner Prospectors when they last played one another  last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Roseland University Prep took a   42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piner. Roseland University Prep's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the  team, making it three in a row.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Piner to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Julia  Almaraz , who  scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Betzie  Hernandez , who  scored nine points along with five  rebounds.
 Roseland University Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Piner, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
 Roseland University Prep will be home for the holidays to greet  Calistoga at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Piner won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Windsor at 6:00  p.m.  on December 19th. Windsor is coming into the  game on a four-game losing streak.
