Hillcrest pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Perris, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
