It was a good run, but  the Manteca Buffaloes unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell  55-44 to East Union. Manteca was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Union apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in February of 2023.
 Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jada Ikharo, who  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds.  Izabella Sanchez was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on ten points and 12  rebounds.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Nylah Dyson, who  scored 23 points along with two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alessandra Montes, who  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Manteca's defeat  ended  a  ten-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 16-4. As for East Union, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 14 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
 Manteca will head out on the road to  face off against  Sierra at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Sierra is on a three-game streak of home wins, Manteca a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. East Union will take on Kimball at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Kimball focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
