Riley McCollum was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Howe let Mya Burt and Samantha Fuhr run wild. Burt went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Fuhr scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Fuhr a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyliee Simms, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
