It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-40, which was the final score in Omaha North's tilt against Omaha Central on Saturday. Omaha North has struggled against Omaha Central recently, as their contest on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Omaha Westside can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 52-43 victory over Millard South.
Omaha Westside's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kimora Jenkins, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Sanai Foster, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Elise Pederson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Omaha North's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Omaha Westside, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10.
Omaha North was taken down by Omaha Westside 70-26 in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Omaha North was down 41-16.
