Basketball Recap: Plumas Charter Drops Season-High Score on Paradise Adventist Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plumas Charter). They enjoyed a cozy 46-29 victory over the Paradise Adventist Academy Cougars on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Plumas Charter found their leader in sophomore Lucy Joesph, who posted 15 points and four steals. Alexis Winters was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Plumas Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Plumas Charter picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Plumas Charter will take on Chester in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plumas Charter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elk Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
