Suffield has gone 7-1 against East Windsor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wildcats will host the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. Suffield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Suffield is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Windham 12-2 on Saturday. The Wildcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 15, 2025 (when they won 13-1).
Jacob Gagnon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Gagnon was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, James Nikolis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Ryan Organ was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Suffield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windham struck out 14 times.
Meanwhile, East Windsor fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bolton on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 10-9. The Panthers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Like Suffield, East Windsor also got a great game from a two-way player: Elias Jacobs. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Jacobs was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. East Windsor is 3-1 when Jacobs posts two or more runs, but 3-10 otherwise.
Suffield's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for East Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Suffield was able to grind out a solid victory over East Windsor in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 5-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
