The St. Lucy's Regents waltzed into Wednesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Animo Leadership 50-11 at home. The result was nothing new for St. Lucy's, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Lucy's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kira Carroll, who scored 14 points along with 7 steals and 6 assists. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. Kate Vintimilla was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 steals.
St. Lucy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Animo Leadership, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
St. Lucy's will face off against New Harvest Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Animo Leadership, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
