Evergreen Valley and Lincoln are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Evergreen Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Overfelt a 16-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Logan Burton was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.
