The Leigh Longhorns lost against the Oak Grove Eagles back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Leigh fell 59-50 to Oak Grove. Leigh has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daphne Glim, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Glim pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emily Chen, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Leigh's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Oak Grove, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Leigh will head out on the road to face off against King's Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. King's Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Oak Grove will take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
