The Live Oak Lions will head out on the road to take on the Winters Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Live Oak entered their tilt with Pierce with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Everything went Live Oak's way against Pierce on Tuesday as Live Oak made off with a 11-2 victory. It was an even better day for Mckayla Holmen as she scored six goals for her team.
Meanwhile, Winters came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand Los Molinos a 3-0 shutout.
Live Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-1-1 record this season. As for Winters, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Live Oak skirted past Winters 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Live Oak since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
