Longmont hasn't had much luck against Mead recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Mavericks at 3:30 p.m. Longmont has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Mead ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fairview 12-11. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mavericks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Rosie Robuck made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Mead let Halie Gippe and Zoey Hawkinson run wild. Gippe went 4-for-6 with three runs and one RBI, while Hawkinson went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those four hits gave Gippe a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ari Tovar, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Longmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Mead, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Longmont hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Mead struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
