Ana Elkins was her usual excellent self, putting up 21 points. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeha Wright, who posted 12 points.
Venture Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kelyiana Neal, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. She also grabbed eight steals, which is notable because Venture Academy is 13-2 when she posts at least five steals, but 2-7 otherwise. Sarah Wegner was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 16 boards.
Natomas has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. Venture Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9.
