Despite the loss, Smethport had strong showings from Elizabeth Hungiville, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds, and Jaidyn Goodman, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Hungiville's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Payton Neff, who scored 2 points along with 3 steals.
Smethport's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Coudersport, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Smethport will be playing in front of their home fans against East Forest/West Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coudersport, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Allegany at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Port Allegany focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
