The Cabrillo Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Dominguez Dons at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cabrillo has four straight victories, Dominguez has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cabrillo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 27-1 margin over Santiago on Saturday. While the Jaguars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Adam Rosalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Bendito Diaz was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Torres, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Cabrillo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Dominguez lost 13-4 to Lawndale on Saturday.
Daveon Brim was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Dominguez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cabrillo, their record now sits at 4-0.
Dominguez's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cabrillo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. It's a different story for Dominguez, though, as they've only averaged .337. Will they be able to contain Cabrillo's hitters?
Cabrillo came up short against Dominguez in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, falling 5-1. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
