The Ridgeview Wolf Pack are taking a road trip to face off against the Garces Memorial Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Garces Memorial will be up against a hot Ridgeview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 15. The Wolf Pack walked away with an 8-5 victory over Righetti on Tuesday.
Joel Gutierrez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Gutierrez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ayden Vasquez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Adrian Bravo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Garces Memorial made easy work of Bishop Union on Friday and carried off a 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Adrian Herrera was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Nick Zunino also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Garces Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Ridgeview's record is now 2-0. As for Garces Memorial, their record now sits at 5-0.
Ridgeview suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Garces Memorial in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Wolf Pack avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
