The St. Bernard's Crusaders came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Campolindo on the road to the tune of 59-28. With St. Bernard's ahead 35-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Laila Florvilus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Shanahan, who scored 14 points.
St. Bernard's pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Campolindo, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Bernard's will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Ferndale at 12:00 p.m. on January 19th. Ferndale is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Campolindo, they will head out on the road to square off against Acalanes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
